The Conversation
We begin with your ideas and references, the occasion behind the piece, or the stone you want to build around. We’ll discuss materials, budget, and timing to establish a direction for the design.

The Design
I develop the design through sketches and, where useful, digital renderings. Together, we refine the proportions, setting, and details, considering how the piece will sit against the body. You approve the design before making begins.

The Making
The design moves from a drawing into metal and stone. Each stage, from shaping and casting to stone setting and finishing, gives it weight, texture, and presence. The final details are refined before the piece is ready for you.
Each commission has its own scope. Pricing and timing are discussed individually, based on the design and materials.

How much does a custom piece cost?
Each commission is quoted individually, based on the design, materials, and work involved. Share your approximate budget with your inquiry so I can consider it as we explore the possibilities.
How long does the process take?
Custom projects typically take 3–6 weeks, though timing varies with the scope of the piece. We’ll discuss the schedule for your commission as we plan the work.
Rush requests can sometimes be accommodated. If you have a particular date in mind, include it in your inquiry so I can confirm what is possible.
Can you work with a stone I already own?
Yes. A stone you already own can be the starting point for a commission. We’ll review its condition and suitability for the setting before moving forward. Photographs and any details you have about the stone are helpful when we begin.
Can you remake an older piece of jewelry?
Yes. An older piece can hold meaning even when its design no longer feels like you. We can explore a new design, discussing what you want to preserve and which elements are suitable to incorporate.
How does payment work?
Once you approve the design, a 50% deposit is required to begin making your piece. The remaining balance is due upon completion.
